Fonda Bassler, the principal of LCBA, and the entire Sequoia Schools staff would like to congratulate Jeremie Kuryla & Adrian Molina, 6th graders at LCBA!  They have each written an outstanding poem that is going to be published in  "A Collection of Poets",  a nationally published book of poetry written by students.  LCBA is full of talented writers and teachers who give students the encouragement they need to feel and be successful.  Ninth grader Robin Scott also recently wrote a play that was so acclaimed by teachers that it will soon be performed by LCBA students.

Learning Crossroads Basic Academy (LCBA) has plans for expansion for the 2010-2011 school year.  The K-12 school located on the Horne Street campus in Mesa will take on the student population of Sequoia Family Learning, a Sequoia School directed by Lori Graham.  LCBA has been highly successful in raising student achievement in academics and lifting children beyond academics.  A vote on the school's name change to Sequoia Family Learning (SFL) has been proposed and will likely take place before the upcoming school year.
